Quantum Mechanics
Welcome to the realm of the very small
Where Newton’s laws don’t apply at all.
It’s a place of paradox and uncertainty
And matter exists only in probability.
Here reality isn’t the same anymore,
Thanks to Heisenberg, Pauli, Planck and Bohr.
Their theorems are anything but dull
And makes one wax philosophical.
The quanta can act truly bizarre
In the world smaller than the molecular.
Here quarks and gluons don’t behave
And a particle can also be a wave.
And once you look, you determine its state
For measurement decides a particles fate.
You can know its speed, but not where it’s at
And both alive and dead is Schrödinger’s cat.
A particle can also be two places at one time.
When two are entangled, they’re forever entwined.
And if this doesn’t have you shocked and perplexed,
You simply don’t understand quantum physics!
